killjoy1993 asked: Has it been hard to stick through school so long to become a herpetologist? From what i understand it can take up to 12 years, and as fascinating as the study would be (and how enjoyable your future jobs would be!) that just seems like so much schooling. I dont know if i could do it. Also, what did you major in in undergrad? And I'd love to see some Timber rattler pics ^__^

whoneedsshelter asked: I just started a new blog dedicated to frogs, so I was wondering if maybe you could give it a look? The custom part of the url is "frog-on-a-blog" I understand if you don't want to, but in any case, I really admire your blog and think it's great way to educate people about these beautiful creatures. Send me a request for a reptile or amphibian to put up or even for something just related to the herpetology field that you would like to learn more about. Send to my ask box and I will get right on it.
Thanks!

I chose not to put this in a regular picture post because I know some people are uncomfortable with this sort of thing. There aren’t many pictures as I obviously had my hands busy but should you be so inclined just hit the read more. This is a dead turtle...

Has scratched her eyelid, nothing horribly serious, but I’m going to be spending more of my time keeping an eye on her and cleaning the area for the next few days or so to make sure it doesn’t get infected. Due to this I ask all of my wonderful followers to please excuse me if their is a lack in posts over the next few days.
thank you all and please dont hesitate to continue leaving...
