Ringed Caecilian
- Amphibian found in Northern South America
- AKA the South American Caecilian
- Forest-dwelling amphibian that lives in soil and resembles a large, thick, earthworm
- dark blue body with white stripes and numerous rings
- uses tentacles to pick up the odors of nearby prey
- When attacked, it produces a distasteful secretion
- Lays its eggs in the soil where they hatch into miniature adults
